The Chaikin Analytics Screener is a powerful tool for finding stocks which meet criteria you specify. You can select a starting Universe, apply Global Filter criteria, and combine Power Gauge, Performance, Technical, and Fundamental criteria, as well as Chaikin Buy/Sell Signals. The Screener is designed to allow you to try ideas in rapid succession, to see the effect on results. Matching results are displayed in the Results window and can be saved as a User List, and viewed immediately in the Workspace.
The stock market has been classified by Standard and Poor’s into sectors, such as energy, health care, and so on. There are nine sectors, each represented in Chaikin Analytics by nine S&P ETFs that track those sectors.
Short Interest Factor
Percentage of a stock’s outstanding shares that investors have sold short but not yet covered or closed out. Short interest is a market-sentiment indicator that tells whether investors think a stock’s price is likely to fall. If a stock has a Bullish Short Interest factor, it means Short Interest is relatively low.
There are six pairs of Buy and Sell Signals, for example, Reversal Buy/Sell. Signals are computed after each trading day when new closing data is received, generally by 11:30 pm EST each weeknight. They do not change intraday. Calculations are based on market data and Power Gauge Ratings at the time of calculation and are valid until the next trading day’s closing data is received. This is an ETF from State Street Global Advisors that is composed of the stocks in the S&P500 index and closely track that index in performance. Chaikin Analytics uses SPY as a proxy for the S&P500.
